Orpheum Children's Science Museum SPRING BREAK CAMPS


Looking to add some fun to your break while school’s out? Break into discovery at the Orpheum for hands-on experiments and fun. Join in the adventure with a full week of engaging fun for kindergartner through 5th graders. Full day campers attend from 8:30am-4:30pm. Half day campers attend 8:30am-noon or 1:00pm-4:30pm. Campers should bring a lunch and drink everyday. Snacks will be provided. Monday: Science of Art. Leonardo Da Vinci is the inspiration for integrating science and art. Come explore the inventor in you. Tuesday: Structures. Build your own structures from different materials as you learn about arches, bridges, and biomimicry. Wednesday: Wizardry. Bring your wand and join us for a day with magic classes, Quidditch, House competitions and all sorts of Harry Potter themed adventures. Thursday: Grossology. Grossology is the study of the icky. Phenomenon such as burps, sweat, and gas might be cause for embarrassment at the dinner table, but are fair game for exploration. Friday: Zoopreme (Animals. Leap into the fascinating world of animals with experiments, games, and crafts. Meet some real-life furry and scaly friends.
